Skin Lesion Removal
Bair Medical Spa offers two treatment methods – nitrous oxide cryotherapy and excision – which can be used alone or in combination to address your unique needs for treating unwanted skin lesions.
Nitrous Oxide Cryotherapy Treatment
Small, benign skin lesions can be successfully treated with cryotherapy (freezing). Lesions such as skin tags, small nevi (moles) and warts are frozen with the cryotherapy applicator. After a few days, the lesion falls off, leaving a small scar that typically fades in several months.
Excision Treatment
For some benign skin lesions such as nevi (moles), the most appropriate cosmetic treatment may be surgical removal. Surgical excision is achieved by numbing the skin with local anesthetic, painlessly removing the lesion and closing the incision with fine sutures to minimize scarring. The stitches are removed five to seven days later.
